For more than fifty years, the Hawaii Mars fought BC wildfires from her base on Sproat Lake near Port Alberni. She was built in 1945, converted to a water bomber in 1958, and remains the largest flying boat ever used operationally. She flew her last firefighting season in 2015 and made her final flight in August 2024. Today she's a permanent exhibit at the BC Aviation Museum in North Saanich, just down the road from our family farm distillery.

The front of this black snapback has our own line drawing of the Mars on a water-drop run, embroidered in white. On the back, the WildFire Whisky flame is stitched in red. It goes with the WildFire Whisky Martin Mars Bomber Edition, the bottle we released in her honour.
