She was built in 1945, converted to a water bomber in 1958, and remains the largest flying boat ever used operationally. She flew her last firefighting season in 2015 and made her final flight in August 2024. Today she's a permanent exhibit at the BC Aviation Museum in North Saanich, just down the road from our family farm distillery.

The front of this black snapback has our own drawing of the Mars at rest on the water, embroidered in white.
